This circular serves ... to Brunello producers to give to their importers. To read the entire circular, click here...

Had an interesting meal at a traditional Chinese restaurant last night. It was a beautiful setting with lantern-lit gardens. Very atmospheric. All the meals we have had so far have involved sitting round a circular table, in the middle of which is a large circular spinning glass plate (of the sort that used to be known in the UK as a ‘lazy Susan’). Initially four or five dishes are placed...

100-Point Rating: Curse or Blessing? Bookmark this Blog/Forum Post
Recently I got into one of those circular-cum-rhetorical exercises with friends about whether it's a curse or a blessing for a winemaker to earn a 100-point rating on his or her first wine. Maybe there's an easy answer and maybe there isn't...

For yesterday's family day out we returned to the Surrey Hills (www.surreyhills.org), and took a truly spectacular circular walk based around Holmbury St Mary finishing on Holmbury Hill. Holmbury itself is halfway round the walk, so it's a good place to stop for a pint and something to eat. We stopped at both pubs, for an Everards Tiger at the Royal Oak and a Shere Drop at the King's Head...

November sunshine Bookmark this Blog/Forum Post
My regular lunchtime walk - perhaps two or three times a week - is a circular route through Regent's Park. It is soul-restoring, and with the changing seasons there is a richness to the repetition. Today's wander coincided with some lovely late Autumn sunshine, and there were still some roses holding out in the face of winter, even though they looked a little bedraggled. The cold (illness...
