It’s a mystery to me how thin and acidic this wine is - not a bad wine, but a disappointing one - not nearly as good as the 2005, and not in the same class as the 04, 05, or 06 Carmenere. $6.99

I just got the weekly “Sips & Tips” from the Wine Spectator . This week’s selection is the 2005 Concha Y Toro Casillero del Diablo Carmenere. Nice supple texture, with a mix of plum, cocoa, tobacco and vanilla.
