Quivira Vineyards Dry Creek Valley Wine Creek Ranch Zinfandel 2005

Reviewed by on Thursday, November 6, 2008 on Wine Reviews from WineLog.net

Color: Darker garnet with purple highlights Nose: Darker and deeper than the appellation-wide version, this has some great black fruit with some blue on top. Still seems young, but has some great spice and cracked black pepper. Palate: Quite smooth again, but with more grip than the DCV wine. Good fruit from the nose combines with some still-integrating oak and adds some heart to the big black pepper. Good.

CG 90pts. - According to the Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines: 10% Petite Sirah.
