Attractive bouquet of cedar, tobacco, damp earth, black cherry, red currants, and black currants. Supple, forward, ripe, and tasty, it conceals enough tannin to evolve for 2-3 years and will drink well through 2016. It is an outstanding value.
Bright fruit flavors of raspberry and blueberry are underscored by anise and cardamom notes, with zesty acidity. Light- to medium-bodied and easy to like. Drink now. 8,000 cases made.
